We want to celebrate the completion of this first phase of our work in Nigeria. We were delighted to host an official celebration on Monday, joined by Nigeria's experts in addressing the digital divide. We are so grateful to all who came. It was a very special moment for us to celebrate our partnership with the Centre for Information Technology and Development Association for Progressive Communications TIZETI and 48percent.org as well as an opportunity to look forward to expanding this work with the support of more partners. To recap our time in Nigeria so far: ☑ David Mugerwa and Fiona Komugisha spent a fortnight in Abuja, hosted by CITAD. ☑ We trained CITAD and 14 trainees from prospective Hub communities on how to build a Hub, with a focus on community engagement and sustainability. ☑ In partnership with the Dakwa community, the training team built a Hello Hub! ☑ The Dakwa community celebrated the completion of their Hub with a joyous handover ceremony. And what's next? ✅ The remaining trainees will take their Hub-building knowledge to their communities, teaching them to build. ✅ We hope to develop further partnerships in Nigeria to expand the model across the country. We'd like to thank all who we met during our time in #Nigeria, for making us feel so welcome and supporting this expansion. If you would like to join us at this pivotal moment to bring meaningful connectivity to more communities in Nigeria, please get in touch. Think you saw it all in Nigeria? Hit play on this mini tour and let Yesmin guide you through the Dakwa Hub! ➡️ #DigitalInclusion #CommunityEngagement #SustainableDevelopment #HelloHubs #SocialImpact #LifeSkills #EducationForAll
